My wife, Rebing and I spent the half-day to join the Dolidnon for their festival while I was covering the street dancing and other memorable happenings in the said and sharing them to my family, friends, and blog followers. Our son-in-law, Almon served as our personal driver using his motorized tricycle for our service in transporting us to and fro.
Besides, we had also an important event to observe in Valladolid for it is our 45th years that we had been there, especially in the seawall where I stole a first kiss from my sweetheart, now is my present wife. I couldn't or rather we couldn't forget that day. We went to the place where we stood and peacefully looking in a far where we clearly saw the horizon in the sunny late afternoon.
Street Dancing Competition
This is a really nice celebration of thanksgiving and to honor the patroness, Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe. It looks also really festive in terms of the activities.
ReplyDeleteYes, that is correct Franc. It's fun, enjoyable to see the street dancers on their best dancing move.
DeleteThe festivity of Pasanduyag festival is amazingly beautiful. I love street dancing competition! the colorful dresses and the music. Thanks for the video.

You're welcome. In actual, they look colorful, attractive or their costumes.
DeleteI always wanted to watch festivals like this. I really enjoyed the street dancing and the drum beats! This brings out the patriotism in me! haha
ReplyDeleteBy the last week of April in our place, we'll be celebrating a weeklong Pasalamat Festival. There you can see beautiful street dancers, best drum beaters, beautiful festival muses on a well-decorated float of indigenous materials.
DeleteWow this must be really an unforgettable place for you and your wife. It's my first time to learn about Valladolid and I'm not even sure if I can pronounce it right haha. I would love to try the angel wings shell.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was indeed and unforgettable place for us. Valladolid is our meeting place when we're in our high school days. It's just about 14 kilometers away from our hometown, La Carlota.
DeleteOh this festival is new to me. It made me miss Sinulog! You should try to join the festival too every January. It's very fun as well. :)
ReplyDeleteSinulog where? Cebu? or Kabankalan? How I wish I could witness Sinulog, but it's usually held on Sunday which is in conflict with our Sunday Services of our Church.
DeleteNever heard about this festival before. I really wish there is some sort of list of festival dates so I can visit all of it!
ReplyDeleteWell, everything as far as festival here in our place, paraticularly in Negros Occidental could be found in the Internet. You may try to search them and adjust your schedule to visit all of them.
DeleteI haven't been to a Pasundayag Festival before. I hope I can experience it in the future.
ReplyDeleteIs that so. Glad to hear that. Next time when you come back to the place, you're still very much welcome.
DeleteI have never been to any fiestas before. I hope to experience one someday. I love the dancing and especially the thanksgiving. Did you dance too, sir?
ReplyDeleteA bit but my son and daughters are good dancers....
DeleteWhat a nice and great celebrations of thanksgiving! The streets are very busy, and you can also see the happy faces and dancing people there. (Gimingaw ko sa mga bisaya :( )
ReplyDeleteWow! This sounds so fun. I love the idea of thanksgiving. I hope I get to visit and experience this too someday. :)
ReplyDeleteFirst time to hear about this festival. I haven't visited any festival in the country. I do hope I can experience and visit at least one festival.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me miss the fiesta celebration in our province. I love watching the colorful parades
ReplyDeleteFirst time I heard of this festival, thanks for spreading the information. Their street dancing almost looks like the Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan in Davao City, except perhaps on the theme revolving around the presentations (Indak Indak depicts stories about the Davao natives we call lumads through dances, stunts, and group formations with loads of props). I wanna go to Negros Occidental one day, my father's birth place. :)
ReplyDeleteNice to be able to watch a Street festival. IT seems that there is quite a lot of different street festivals all around Philippines. Lots of different cultural dances to watch and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThis must be fun. We have a similar one in Baguio - the Panagbenga
ReplyDeleteVery festive! And similar to Zamboanga City's Hermosa Festival :)
ReplyDeleteWhat I really love about our country is our rich culture and colorful festivities like this. Thank you for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteIt's really a great experience to watch street festival. Waiting for January for Sinulog festival in Cebu. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun. It's been a long time since the last time I witness something like this. Thanks for inspiring post.
